SMU Campus Celebration Move To Orchard Campus
SMU Campus Celebration Move on 31 July 2005, Sunday was SMU’s most pivotal and grand event. Entitled “SMUve”, it was organized to commemorate the move to the much anticipated city campus. The parade-style march flagged off at Orchard Road to the new campus in Bras Basah, where two road lanes were blocked off for their journey. This event generated a significant amount of media coverage from Channel News Asia and the local newspapers as there was a great amount of publicity given to the location of SMU’s new campus, and this move had also been long anticipated by the public and media.
Avivar was involved in this event by providing:
- Full event management for the entire parade from SMU

^space1^respective vehicles involved in the procession - Coordination of vehicles in procession and students
^space2^involved in the procession walk - Security & clean-up support for the event venue
- Traffic control
- Security and safety
- All necessary licenses for road closure
